Hadassah Counseling and Consulting, LLC offers an array of services. At Hadassah, we are dedicated and committed to helping others achieve personal, familial, and professional transformation. In addition to traditional therapy, we also provide therapeutic services that focus on and encourage spiritual restoration and growth. Life on earth presents us with many obstacles, struggles, and traumas. Hadassah Counseling and Consulting, LLC seeks to help its community to overcome life’s challenges. We specialize in a variety of areas, to include but not limited to anxiety, grief and loss, stress with a strong expertise in trauma (PTSD) and neuroscience. It is our belief that we are all spiritual beings, sent into this physical world to fulfill a Divine Purpose. Our mission is to help individuals, groups, families, and communities to rediscover their TRUE IDENTITY by way of the 3 R’s:
Repentance
The first step is beginning to recognize all the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that are not serving us. Once we become aware of these of these thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, we need to begin taking steps to let go and turn away from the things in life that are not benefitting us. Repentance means to “change one’s mind or direction”.
Renewal
By definition renewal is “to make new”. Renewal is a daily and ongoing process. As we begin to “change one’s mind or direction” in life, the next step is to replace those old patterns with new, positive life changing patterns. This is done through, what we call, the “Art of Surrender”.
Restoration
As you begin to surrender, to let go, of those old, negative patterns and belief systems, you will begin to sense a feeling of total restoration. Restoration is “a bringing back to a former position or condition”. Because we believe that we are all spiritual beings, it is our goal to help others to recall who they really were and are in order that they may fulfill the Divine Purpose for which he/she was sent here to earth.

Denise Thomas
Hadassah Counseling and Consulting, LLC was founded by Denise Thomas. The name Hadassah finds its rich meaning from a historical and spiritual context. The name Hadassah means “myrtle tree”. The Myrtle Tree symbolizes compassion, peace, joy, generosity, and justice. It is also associated with love and prosperity. We are an agency that represents these qualities of freedom.
Denise has always been a compassionate helper since a very young age. She has been a counselor and confidant to many. Professionally, Denise has been in the helping field since 2005. She has spent about 10 years of her career working in the field of foster care. After her time in the foster care system, Denise provided social work and counseling in the school setting at home (Delaware) and abroad (Europe – Germany). Currently, Denise primarily focuses on helping others through mental health teletherapy, training, consultation, and clinical supervision in the states of GA, SC, NC, VT, DE, VA, and NH.
Denise is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the states listed above. She has an undergraduate degree in Sociology with a concentration in health services; and Master’s of Social Work. Denise’s goal is to help others to find TRUE freedom by way of the reaching and obtaining one of the highest vibrations, LOVE – of self and others.
